    Logline, Synopsis and Storyline

 LOGLINE

 Logline is a brief - 1 or 2 sentence - summary of a film (or tv show), that hooks the reader and describes the central conflict of the story (kind of like elevator pitch).

 SYNOPSIS

 Synopsis is a brief summary that gives audiences an idea of what the film is about.

 *It is an overview without spoilers. It generally lets people see if it is a kind of story they might want to read.*

 It provides an overview of the storyline or main points and other defining factors of the work, which may include:

  • style
  • genre
  • persons
  • characters of note
  • setting
