ex. 1 - portray an instance with my hand

For the first drawing, we were asked to portray a recent instance or life as of late with our hand(s) by either tracing our hands onto the paper or by observation.

I lightly traced my hand onto my paper, then took a reference photo of my hands clasped together. I filled in details with pencil and then colored the hands blue and red with colored pencil, respectively.

ex. 2 - drawing hands in pairs

For the second exercise, we were randomly paired with another student to observe and draw each other's hands posed in however manner we request, with the option to aid in reference to stills or scenes from current student films and projects being worked on.

My film does not have any scenes or stills that require references of hands, so I asked my partner to pose her hands however she wants. We took turns posing and drawing; both of us drew the other's hand in two different poses.
