ex. 1 - hand, forearm, shoulder
For the first exercise, we were tasked with drawing a random student's hands in 5 minutes. One student models while all other students observe and sketch. Then, a different student will model and the class will draw their hands and forearms in 10 minutes. Finally, another student models while the class sketches both of the student's arms, including hands, forearms, and shoulders.
As I was chosen to model for the second round, I only sketched the first model's hand in 5 mins and the last model's arms in 15 mins.
ex. 2 - face → hands
For the second exercise, we were asked to draw two panels: a medium close-up of a face, and close-up of their hands. The point of the exercise is to show the person's expression and concentration, then reveal what they are doing with their hands.
I drew myself drawing an angry face.
